Georgia also has another little cold...this time from daycare...and suffers from the sniffles. I swoop in to wipe her nose before she can vehemently swat my hand away. It makes Noah chuckle and tell Georgia, "She got you again!"
She has a new motor skill! Noah helped her figure out how to back up off her tummy until she can get her feet out from under her and sit up. This is fantastic because she is much less frustrated. When she reaches for something and falls forward, no biggie, she can recover and sit back up. Of course she does occasionally try to back up and gets her bootie under something--like the bed or the high chair--and gets stuck.
The not fantastic aspect of this skill is that she now protests lying down in her crib. We can put her in there but that doesn't mean she's agreeing to sleep! We have found her sitting in every corner of the crib--sometimes playing, sometimes screaming at the top of her lungs. Daddy's a softy and picks up his princess, which is why I found them like this yesterday when I got home from school...
She's also taken up filing...that's a good, employable skill! She's also working at becoming a laundress.
I told her it is was fine to work just for pocket money until this is no longer true...
Can you believe she will be 7 months this week?? My co-workers were floored at how big she has gotten when she came to visit school on Friday. She was spoiled by the secretaries letting her chew on their jewelry and attended her first pep assembly. It might be her last assembly for a while...she was blowing raspberries during the Star Spangled Banner and then was trying to sing with the student trio. In a gym of 500 quiet students it was a little noticeable!
