We often say Georgia is our little Oregonian, because, in fact, she is. She may not have lived there long, but she was born there and that makes her native (being native is a big deal to Oregonians).
We've taken the girl out of her home state, but rest assured, the state is within her. The girl is an Oregonian in spirit and mindset.
For the rest of our readrs, I'll do my best to show you how "Oregonian" embodies all she does and says...I'll do my best, but I'd recommend you visit Oregon (July 5 to early October) to truly understand this in all natives.
Own an unbrella, but not for rain.

Live outside.
Hurry to get there.

(Everyone wanted to be very close to see Baby Jesus.
Even the stars.)
Fight against freedom of speech issues.
Protest if necessary.
Re-purpose what you have.
Nothing should be tossed out.
Have a dream and let it sparkle in your eyes.
Bend the rules of gender norms.
Real men wear pink and flower sunnies.
High density housing is a fact of life.
So is high density tree ornamentation.
Live small so you can live BIG in spirit!
Stripes look good on everyone.
Teach your brother this.
Insist your mom dress your brother like this.
Insist everyone be treated fairly.
If Judah gets rocked, Honey Girl should be too.
Flaunt what makes you special.
Hug a tree, or anything that is still long enough.
And when other words fail to explain you, just grin and say,
"I'm an Oregonian!"
