3 Months--Truth in Sizing

Georgia is 3 months old today. We have graduated from weeks to months in the counting!

There was some awe, and even a inquiry if we needed bigger clothes sent immediately after the 2 month onesie picture. While she appeared to fill out the 12 month onesie rather quickly from month 1 to 2, it was more likely my shotty photojournalism than extremely substantial growth.

We're going to try to provide a little truth in baby clothes sizing. She has this onesie in both 3 and 12 month sizes, so we're doing a side by side comparison this month. On the left is 3 months; 12 months on the right. Both were taken today.

Grammy has summed Georgia up as "perpetual motion" and a happy, giggly girl. She seems to use her left hand more often (we hadn't noticed but keen eyed Grammy did.) She finds her thumb more and sometimes we find her holding her paci in one hand while enjoying the fingers of the other hand. The feet are new and fun. We cannot help but laugh as she stares at her moving feet and hands but doesn't yet realize they are hers. Oh to capture that amazement! We know that every baby hits these milestones, but it sure it is terrific and huge to us nonetheless!

She is most definitely a healthy girl. We just bought a box of diapers up to 15 lbs. so I made her promise not to grow faster than her diaper supply. She is ready to transition from her bassinet to the crib...mama is having more difficulty with this than Georgia.

She is rather social. Last week while we were waiting at the airport she was working three separate groups of people. When one group would start talking amongst themselves, she'd move on and work the next crowd with her smiles and coos. She is very good at back and forth conversations, as well as talking to herself!

She has several nicknames...Bear (started by her peditrician calling her Sugar Bear) and Bug (as in Love Bug and because all swaddled up she looks like a long bug) and GG (abbreviated Georgia G).

We may be talking teeth and rolling over by next month...
