There was a little girl...

At bedtime last night, Noah was reading Georgia her library books. He suddenly called out to me, "Hey does this sound familiar: There was a little who had a little curl. Right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good and when she was bad, she was horrid."

It did.

We had quite a day yesterday. It was the latter of those two little curly girl kind of days.

We're all entitled to have an off day every now and then, especially when considering she's a toddler with developing coping skills.

Who am I kidding? When we said our prayers last night I asked for better coping skills!

I was glad for a new day.

You've heard of a boxed lunch, right? How about a boxed breakfast?

In this case it was literally Georgia's desire to have her breakfast in a box. Where her highchair usually is. Happy to oblige the request for her almond butter toast and plum.

(She's looking at the picture and telling me there is milk in the picture :) )

Shortly after breakfast she needed crackers. That's a broad range of flour products in our home, including the newly introduced Fig Newtons.

The girl loooooves her Newtons. She shakes the package when it's empty. Gets them back out of the trash hoping she missed one. This morning I caught her lovingly caressing the empty box she got out of the recycling.

(Now she's sitting on my foot like it's a swing singing "boom-boom-boom." Now she's tickling me. Ouch! That was a pinch! Oh me, oh my.)
