Playdate!

Yesterday Georgia and I had a playdate!

This was a special arrangement playdate. One of the bittersweet things about actually having the baby you have been waiting so long for is that you lose the birthing support system...unless you are clever! We absolutely loved our midwife, Lauren, and could hardly stand to say goodbye after Georgia was born. Neither could she! Luckily Lauren's sister, Kat, was also expecting so now we have a "legitimate" reason to keep in contact with Lauren and get to know Kat and her baby girl, Ellery.

Kat hosted the playdate and we enjoyed the company of Ellery, Jackson, and Lily, as well as their moms. Jackson's mom and I were actually in pre-natal yoga together in our 2nd trimesters! The world is getting smaller (hand motion!).
It was great fun to watch the babies interact, laugh at how big and little the babies are, swap stories, and share advice. Although I have absolutely needed and wanted advice from friends and family with children, there is something greatly reassuring and inspriring to meet others who are also only a few months into the parenting journey. It was also great to meet other moms who will be returning to work in the fall.

The absolute best moment was when we had all four on the couch for pictures and they laughed and cried in waves. You might call them 3 divas and a dude!
