Our Ham from the Yam

One of Georgia's nicknames is The Ham from The Yam...she was born in Yamhill County (I also teach in Yamhill City in Yamhill County). Our friend Jesse affectionately coined "The Yam" several years ago and it has stuck.

The midwife termed Georgia a ham because she was often playful and ornery during checkups...making Lauren follow her movements in order to listen to her heartbeat and responding to her voice with kicks (once Lauren exclaimed, "She's so personable, I think she's going to come out talking!")

Thus, our Ham from The Yam...

Here she is in her crib yesterday after waking up from her nap. She just grinned at me proudly that she had gotten herself perpendicular to the mattress...won't be able to do that for long!

Don't you just love those rolls!!

Here she is playing this morning. When we first brought her home and set her in the Boppy Lounger we thought the design was terrible because couldn't reach the dangling animals. We learned she was just too little! She likes to do pull-ups holding them now.
